An eye tracker is a small camera aimed at one or both eyes. This camera uses infrared light. The camera image can be used to measure where you are looking at and to measure your pupil size. Studies that make use of an Eye tracker do research on emotions for example, but most of the time the goal is to look at what you are looking at on a screen. These cameras are only focused on your eyes and therefore do not capture images of your face.
