The Virtual Reality lab is a state-of-the art lab space specifically designed for VR research. The VR lab is relatively big (approximately 6x10m2) allowing for free-roaming (6 DoF) VR experiments.

There are two VR headsets available: the HTC Vive (1080x1200 resolution per eye, 90 Hz refresh rate) and the Valve Index (1440x1600 resolution per eye, 120 Hz refresh rate). The HTC Vive is wireless and has portable rechargeable batteries, off-ear speakers, and a built-in microphone. The Valve Index offers better resolution and a wider field of view, but due to its high definition capabilities, it is not possible to transmit this information wireless (yet). Both VR headsets can be operated simultaneously, allowing for social VR experiments.
